What is Neuropsychological Testing?
Neuropsychology looks to understand how the health of your brain affects your thinking and behavior. Neuropsychological testing is comprised of series of assessments.
These memory and cognition tests assess your attention span and concentration, your ability to think, understand, learn, and remember (cognition), your memory, motor function (walking, coordination, etc.), perception (how well you take in what you see or read), problem-solving and decision-making, as well as verbal ability.
A full clinical report will include all of the testing data as well as a written interpretation of the findings by the neuropsychologist. This full report will be presented to you in person or via email. You will also meet with the neuropsychologist to discuss interpretations and findings.
Additionally, neuropsychological reports can be sent to other medical professionals, such as a psychiatrist or primary care physician, upon written request of the patient.
In Person AND Virtual Appointments
Due to the nature of the assessments, in person meetings is required for some portions of the neuropsychological testing process. Discussion and feedback of your results can be completed virtually. Testing appointments can last 3 - 6 hours, are available for scheduling Monday - Saturday and typically start at 9 AM.

Other difficulties that may be present as unstable relationships, difficulties with organization and completing tasks, poor school or work performance and negative self-image.

A comprehensive neuropsychological assessment facilitated by a neuropsychologist will include a series of in person question and answer assessments, behavioral and cognitive tests on a computer, as well as test give with pencil and paper. Once problematic symptoms, cognitions, and behaviors are identified, treatment recommendations can be clarified.
